Will MotoLert be free?
Yes. The free version, with ads, includes road alerts and the garage. Premium adds motorcycle guidance, prepared routes that work offline with their line and voice guidance, and group positions, and removes ads.
Do I need an account to use the app?
No. You can start as a guest with your data stored on your iPhone. If you sign in later, your local data can be transferred to your account for backup. Creating or joining a group ride requires an account and a connection.
What can I use without a connection?
MotoLert switches to offline mode automatically. Your GPS position, speed, ride recording and the garage keep working, including in the free version. With Premium, a route already calculated on your iPhone keeps its line and voice guidance; a free account that has joined a group ride also keeps guidance on the shared route. Search, rerouting after a wrong turn, calculating a new route and new camera and hazard alerts need a connection; zones already loaded stay in memory. There are no downloadable maps: the background map depends on what iOS has cached. Group positions need a connection.
Does MotoLert work in the UK?
Yes. MotoLert shows camera zones in the UK, and the app switches to mph and miles automatically there. The garage also records amounts in pounds (£). MotoLert is for iPhone only, with no Android version, and it is not released yet: join the waitlist to get the launch email.
