Harz: from Wernigerode to the Bode valley

A crossing of the Harz mountains from Wernigerode and its castle. The road climbs to Schierke, at the foot of the Brocken, reaches Braunlage then Hasselfelde and crosses the large Rappbode dam. It then follows the deep Bode valley via Treseburg to Thale. Dense forests and one bend after another.
