Motorcycle ride in North Carolina

Blue Ridge Parkway and Linn Cove Viaduct

49 miles (79 km), 1 hr 20 min, beginner

The Blue Ridge Parkway, with no traffic lights and no lorries, winds along the Appalachian ridges in North Carolina. This stretch starts at Blowing Rock, skirts Grandfather Mountain on the Linn Cove Viaduct, and passes near Linville Falls and Little Switzerland on its way to Crabtree Falls. Speed is limited, bends come one after another and there are viewpoints on every ridge.
