Wicklow Mountains: Military Road and Sally Gap

63 km (39 miles), 1 hr 15 min, intermediate

An hour from Dublin, the Military Road crosses the empty bogs of the Wicklow Mountains. From Enniskerry, it passes Glencree, the Sally Gap crossroads and Glenmacnass Waterfall to Laragh. The route then reaches the monastic site of Glendalough and crosses the Wicklow Gap. A narrow, bumpy road with free-roaming sheep.
