Motorcycle ride in Scotland

Bealach na Bà and the Applecross coast

42 miles (68 km), 1 hr 55 min, advanced

One of the most spectacular roads in Scotland. From Lochcarron, the Bealach na Bà climbs to over 600 m on a single-track road with 20% gradients and alpine hairpins, then drops down to Applecross, facing the Isle of Skye. The way back follows the wild coast to Shieldaig. Use the passing places and avoid the road in bad weather.
