147 km (91 miles), 3 hr 25 min, advanced

Federal Highway 120 crosses the Sierra Gorda biosphere reserve and is one of the most winding roads in Mexico. From the village of Bernal, at the foot of its monolith, it passes Cadereyta and Vizarrón, climbs into the mountains to Pinal de Amoles, then descends via Ahuacatlán to Jalpan de Serra and its Franciscan missions. Topes (speed bumps), fog and blind bends.
